About Peregrine Companion

Peregrine Companion is a tool for installing and checking the Peregrine dashcam features. To use, you will need a peregrine device to connect to over bluetooth.

It's built for fleet managers fitting devices into their vehicles and requires little to no technical knowledge to use.

What the app can do:
Pair over Bluetooth -- connect to a dashcam without any wiring required to check its diagnostics.

See device health -- status tiles cover GPS, internet, registration, and memory card availability. Tap any tile for more information about what each state means.

Get the wiring right -- A built-in wiring guide covers how to set up the supported power installs. It also contains a ACC check to ensure the wiring has been set up as required.

Pull live snapshots -- get camera view on demand, ensuring the front and rear cameras are set up adequately for the best possible results on the road.

Permissions:
Bluetooth permissions let the app find and connect to your dashcam. Android
additionally requires location permission in order to scan for Bluetooth
devices — the app uses it only to discover nearby dashcams, and does not track or share your location.
