About this game

‘Broken Sword 2 - the Smoking Mirror: Remastered’ sees the return of George Stobbart and Nico Collard in the sequel to the smash hit ‘Broken Sword: Director’s Cut’, widely praised as the best adventure available for Android.

While investigating a ruthless drug gang, journalist Nico Collard unexpectedly comes across an ancient artefact. Little can she know that the ornately carved obsidian stone will lead her, and her adventuring companion George Stobbart, into a mysterious escapade of intrigue and deceit, in which they must overcome powerful forces and antagonists who will stop at nothing to fulfil their evil ambitions.

‘Broken Sword 2 - The Smoking Mirror: Remastered’ is a stunning update to the million-selling original. Along with an exclusive new interactive digital comic, from ‘Watchmen’ co-creator Dave Gibbons, the game boasts fully animated facial expressions, enhanced graphics throughout, high quality music as well as a context-sensitive hint system, and diary.

Includes full English, French, German, Italian and Spanish speech with optional subtitles in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian or Brazilian Portuguese.

Bought this right away after finishing the first one. It still has the same fantastic art style but it was not as good as the first for a number of reasons. The two main issues were using items and interacting for some reason required you to click somewhere far away from where you wanted to actually go. The other thing was the jungle scene. I am suprised I put up with it long enough to get through it. Still, it's not bad but it was a dissapointment after the glorious first game!

I am loving this game, the way you have made a 1996 game make sense in 2023 is really impressive. But it is buggy, and sadly I am trapped..this review is more of a bug report. I had completed the treehouse chapter, and moved onto ketches landing. After contining the game I have been transported back to the treehouse, with Nico dying of snake bite but I don't have the tree root anymore. I.. don't think she will make it. But I can't go forward anymore. But will try again if this can be fixed.

it's a good port of the old playstation game and works very well. controls a little bit off at times but that's not s big problem for this style of game. Stopped working for a while but they fixed it, started playing on Android 9, finished after updating to android 10 and still worked fine. Great game, I'll glad I forgot some of the puzzles, dialog still funny over twenty years later.
