When the French version was updated in 1973, the changes were used to revise the Jerusalem Bible, creating the New Jerusalem Bible. The revisions were substantial. The revised version is said to be less literary but, for the most part, more literal. The introductions and footnotes, translated almost entirely from the French, have also been thoroughly revised and expanded, making it one of the most scholarly editions of the Bible.

It keeps going back to Genesis even after I have highlighted leviticus. Other similar bible apps never did this. Please help with this. Otherwise, I will always miss where I last stopped. Sometimes I can't remember which book or chapter I Last stopped at and so I highlight the first verse of that chapter. And when I open the app, it usually goes straight to where I stopped last. However, nowadays it keeps going back to Genesis 1 whenever I open the app. Please help sort this out. Thank u.

Firstly, I was pleased to install the app quite fast. I had a hard copy catholic Bible some years ago which got lost. Since am semi digital and semi snalogue, I was still thinking of how to obtain another Bible. Then it clicked on my mind that maybe it's on the playstore. Within a minute I had the Bible. The electronic copy is good because you don't search pages looking for a book you have no recollection on its location. You just click on the search and the book appears

Crashes upon switching from day to night mode. But love the options in settings, font size, style etc.
