About this app

FIREPROBE Speed Test is very accurate tool for analysis of the Internet connection. It offers a scheduler for automatic test planning and WiFi refresh for quick connection quality improvement. As a very light application, it saves your device resources.

Using FIREPROBE Speed Test you can perform the following tests for WiFi and mobile connections 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G:

• ping test – network delays test between device and Internet,
• jitter test – variation of the network delays,
• download test – how fast you can get data from Internet,
• upload test – how fast you can send data to Internet.

The advanced quality summary is shown after every test. You can see how good will work the basic Internet services you are using every day:

• websites browsing,
• streaming of low and high quality videos e.g. YouTube,
• voice calls e.g. Skype, WhatsApp,
• online games.

FIREPROBE Speed Test gives you also:

• automatic or manual reference server selection,
• speed unit selection: Mb/s (megabits per second) or kb/s (kilobits per second),
• creating test results history with filter options,
• exporting test results in CSV file,
• viewing the built-in map of the mobile network coverage,
• IP/ISP address display,
• tracking test result location on the interactive map.

Using PRO FEATURES you can:

• refresh WiFi connection to increase overall quality,
• schedule the automatic connection speed tests in the background using options: time interval, maximum test count, maximum data transferred amount and connection type (WiFi, 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G).

I have been using this app for at least 3 years. I have to say it's really great. You get a lot of great information about your internet quality. Download speed, latency, upload speed, jitter, and a lot more! You can even look back at your history tests so you can compare if you think something is not operating right. I'm sure there are others that are similar. But this is a great app. Btw there are ads, but don't be discouraged. They are short and not a big inconvenience. It's free right?

Subtracting a star for occasionally obtrusive ads (not always, but compared to others like it). options to choose between different measurements methods (application or net interface) or connection type (http or TCP)can give you a better idea of how your how to service performs in various conditions that I don't recall some other speed tests even offering. Plus I love the dart mode because I have an amoled screen. moderate background testing signal moddering doesn't seem too hard on battery.

With this application, I am able to actually test and see exactly where I was standing when I test the internet speed and signal strength. Here in Sacramento, California with Xfinity Wi-Fi, it is Spotty Wi-Fi, It is VERY SPOTTY! For example, some streets, like on 16th Street, where Blue Diamond Almond Factory is, you have no signal! But, like when you're downtown, at the Library on 8th and H Street, you have perfect signal, and across the street at the park, there is no Xfinity Wi-Fi!!!
