Overall a decent app. I like the service but I want to be able to play video files in app without downloading them like you can with photos. Edit: App appears dead, hasn't been updated in 6 months and still lacks some features... Lowered my rating. Edit 2/19/24: Finally updated and I've seen improvements but still want to see an in-app video player instead of needing to download first and play thru external player.

Recently I had a phone die before dumping my photos and videos off of it. I lost a lot of good memories due to my laziness. Filen is solid security wise and has a desktop app that can back up (with multiple backup types) that works wonderfully. Their app is well, much lower caliber. Their photo backup and selection is a bit messy but it gets the job done. I'm sure this will mature nicely just like the desktop app. Right now it just seems... Slow? A bit messy? But well worth the cost. 4/5

Promising service but way too early to commit. Still in beta with a lot of issues if you ask me. They can't fix the bugs and push updates on time due having a single developer in their staff; yes Filen has a single developer. I recommend that you try out the service but don't trust Filen with important files as there are several complaints for missing or/and corrupted files.
