About this app

The iSmartAlarm Home Security System is a DIY, self-controlled and self-monitored smart home security system with no monthly fees and no contracts required.

The iSmartAlarm app allows you to arm, monitor, and disarm your iSmartAlarm Home Security System at any time, from anywhere, in real-time. You can see who is home, when family members leave or return, and the status of every sensor and device.

The iSmartAlarm app manages all of your iSmartAlarm products, including Contact Sensors, Motion Sensors, iCamera (1st Gen), iCamera KEEP, Smart Switch, and more. Multiple homes and systems can be managed easily in the same app.

iSmartAlarm will alert all designated members with SMS text messages*, push notifications, automated phone calls*, and email when the iSmartAlarm Home Security System detects a break-in or unauthorized activity. Users can then choose how to address the situation appropriately - A call can be placed to the police in case of a break-in, or the alarm can be ignored and the system set to Arm again if it is a false alarm. (*Phone call and SMS messages available in US and Canada only).

Too simple. Base unit would go in and out of connection regularly (sometimes x2-10 times in a week), with no function while not connected. To pile on, app crashes were inevitable. On my Turbo 2 and Keyone, I had to restart the app each time I switched back to the app from another phone function after a short period of time (<5 minutes). On my Galaxy Note9, the app crashes on open 100% of attempts. Developer feedback non-existent. Replaced with Ring; so far all expectations have been exceeded.

iSmartalarm is virtually useless outside of viewing the cameras in real time. The image skips a lot (its not my internet, or location of cameras - theyre right by the router and i get 175mb on all wireless platforms), theres constant connectivity issues as well as problems "arming" and "disarming" the system from a remote loacation. And most annoying, there's NO way to change the date/time which is WAY off and makes finding a specific clip impossible as the time stamps are way off. Plus more.

I've had this app and sensors for many years. Worked ok until recently. The app actually shut down my phone and my husband's phone at the same time. My screen went black and i could do nothing but wait for the system to slowly go thru its mode and end up back at square one, not able to login and if so not able to change settings and yes I gave up my access points. I took the app off. That was terrifying that it made my phone and husband's totally crash.
