About this app

EdgeBlock protects the edge of your screen from accidental touches. Great for phones with curved screen edges, thin bezels or infinity displays.

The touch-protected area is adjustable and can be made invisible or any color you like! Adjust the color, opacity and width of the blocked area and specify which edges should be blocked. You can set which edges are blocked separately for portrait, landscape and fullscreen modes.

There are many ways to control EdgeBlock. You can temporarily disable (pause) blocking by tapping the notification. You can turn EdgeBlock on or off with a Quick Settings tile. And finally, you pause/resume or start/stop the service using public intents compatible with automation apps such as Tasker (be sure to specify the package name, flar2.edgeblock)

Public Intents:
flar2.edgeblock.PAUSE_RESUME_SERVICE
flar2.edgeblock.START_STOP_SERVICE

EdgeBlock has no ads and does not collect any of your data. EdgeBlock is lightweight and does not require invasive permissions. It only needs permission to draw or display over other apps.

The free version is fully functional. The only option that requires payment is "Apply on boot." If you want EdgeBlock to automatically start at boot, then you must buy EdgeBlock Pro. If you do not wish to pay, you can start it manually at each boot and still enjoy all other features, ad-free.

Help! Developer settings shows how many pointers are active and their stats, but with no way of controlling them. I really need to prevent any pointer events from starting in the selected area, and end any that enter. Because manufacturers keep doing absurdly stupid things with input/output and nobody I know can get work done on newer devices any more. Ive wasted hundreds of hours and lost alot of money trying to get any new phone to work, no support from google, samsung. My old LG still perfect

Thanks for your response. Enabling the EdgeBlock service results in Palma getting warmer. Disabling the service or uninstalling the app makes the device work normally. Reinstalling and reenabling the service causes it to warm up again. Not much, but it's noticeable. Also, the battery discharges pretty quickly then (1% every 6 minutes, even if the device is locked and not used). EDIT: Never mind, I've switched to Tasker instead.

This app does not do any work, there is no possibility of it using causing the device to heat up.

The overlays can really block touches on the edges but are still selectable by touch which somehow negates/disables other additional secondary touches on the screen. I want the overlays to be like, disabling all touch responses on the edges, not only blocking them because it could be annoying for the overlays to still be selectable which makes additional secondary touches impossible. Please update this app to fix this issue, i already paid for the Pro version & i use this for gaming. Thanks!👍
