GeoSapiens IGN

GeoSapiens is an interactive map application, free to use, to study the physical and political geography of Spain and the world. It consists of different games to study all of Spain or by autonomous communities, the entire world and by continent. In addition, it includes a landscape module with two games: recognize the landscapes of the National Parks and find a location from the aerial image on the map to know which landscape predominates in that area.

Once you have chosen the geographical area and the game, you can select the way to play:
- Show, to study.
- Drag outline, in some of the games.
- Locate random, to play only with 10 random geographical phenomena.
- Locate all, to play with all geographical phenomena.
It is fun, challenging and easy to use, without requiring an internet connection (except for the landscape module which requires being connected to the network).

The application is bilingual in Spanish and English and has reinforcement sounds, which can be activated and deactivated.

GeoSapiens is an educational resource of the National Geographic Institute (IGN) and the Autonomous Organization National Center for Geographic Information (O. A. CNIG) carried out in collaboration with the University School of Engineers in Topography, Geodesy and Cartography of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and with the support of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
