About this app

We have 3 kids. When they all play Tablet we feel like in the middle of a fair.

Is this familiar?

Headphones to the rescue?

But if they produce over 85 dB they will harm your kids' hearing!

Special headphones for kids?
Wired headphones for kids may not always meet the limit and their wireless counterparts are expensive and they emit EM radiation.

Use "Voli" instead!

Get $1 headphones and cap your kids tablet volume with "Voli".

Test your setup decibels!

We tested "Voli" to be under 85 dB on devices around. But we recommend you borrow a decibel meter to check your setup before using with your kids.

Simple and effective. The missing feature I'd most want to have added is per-device & per-app settings or calibration, such as being able to limit Bluetooth headsets differently than my Bluetooth connection to my car audio system, or not limiting the OS-default alarm clock I use to wake up with in mornings.

1 - It works even when you want to have it not on/disabled. There's no way to disable it. 2 - It's very janky with the volume. It does things like when you increase the volume to near the limit, it jumps down one or two full notches and will not let you even have the volume *below* the limit in that range. It's ridiculous.

Hello, the volume limit launches on the phone start. You can pause it after you enter the pattern (this is because the app is aimed at kids, so they don't increase the volume behind your back). If you try to push the volume with the buttons, the app will have to force lowering the volume - is this not expected behavior? May we have more details?

I don't know how this app actually works but I tried this app on of my two devices , so when I set volume level to safer mode it just adjusting the volume level to 30%, even though both of two devices don't have the same loudness over speaker. ------------------------So please make sure to measure that and set different percentage for different devices.---- if any device have low loudness and your app by default set it to the universal default volume level then I couldn't even able to hear it.

Hello Washim, please check the tutorial, I suggest to use a decibel meter and fine-tune the calibration settings for each device. Unfortunately it is not technically possible to measure this on phone and I do not have the capacity to measure every phone on the market.. sorry for the limitations. For details please contact support@urbandroid.org.Pet
