Diabolical treatment from tonestro support. I am so disgusted. I wanted to purchase the app because I am a very keen on learning the trumpet. The wording for buying the app is extremely misleading and anything but transparent. Before purchasing the app I myself, several family members and friends understood the wording to outline the app would cost £104.99 for the year broken down to monthly installments of £8.99 After one week free trial I was charged the full £104.99 causing finance issues.

The challenge section is ridiculous. I followed along with the metronome and played each note on beat, but it gave me a score of 0.9, now I can understand if my intonation was off a bit, but I played each note correctly and in time. I then tried to go slower than the beat and tried faster, the best score I was able to get was 2.2 (out of 100 I presume). I've been playing for 26 years and while I'm not great, I know I'm not nearly that bad.

The concept is good, but the app itself isn't. I think that having a "premium" option is fine, but with only a total of 4 free songs to play, it is basically telling you to buy the "premium" version. Also, it seems to only pick notes that have been play perfectly in "perform" mode to accept them as correct (even when played correctly), while letting you off the hook occasionally in "practice" mode. I wouldn't recommend this app.

That’s why we recommend to use wired headphones, so that the app sound doesn’t interfere with your instrument’s sound.
