Bluetooth issues. The other reviews pretty much cover it. Problem is compounded by the fact the Amp is so heavily dependent on the app as only way to access certain settings. My primary issue was that my mac was connected so I couldn't connect the android device until I disconnected that. So, "it works". However, 3 is still pretty generous considering how very flaky this is with bluetooth. But, I wanted to put this info in here in case someone is having the conflict. Unreliable and weak.

I have not experienced the bt issues others list. Running android 14 on an S22 Ultra and the app works fine. The main thing...to connect you have to actually click the blinking Bluetooth icon at the top right of screen. That opens a 2nd screen. YOU HAVE TO SELECT THE THR and hit connect. This isn't an obvious step. Control over the amp works as expected, the app is just a little clunky at times.

WOW how can Yamaha let this app lag behind an amp that they are still selling. I have not had as many Bluetooth issues. It was a pain to connect as two connections for App plus LE but finally connected. The other HUGE ISSUE is you cannot upload presets you download on Android device without connecting to a PC! The apps preset folder is located under Internal Storage/Android/Data/com.thrremote.yamaha/presets. Well since Android 13 made Android/Data folders protected and unaccessible w file apps.
