This app lets me isolate practicing finding ONE note all over the fretboard. I had been searching for an app that would drill me on being able to play every "A" note (for example) on frets 1-12. I can set this app to do that. I pluck the requested string's A note, mute the note, and then wait for the next prompt. Perfect! My brain, left hand, and right hand are all being forced to sync up. Excellent! Once I've mastered finding all natural notes A-G, I'll know the fretboard. Thank you!

This app is amazing! I haven't found another app that uses audio to tell you if you played the right note! I can't say enough good about this! Only thing that prevents this from being perfect is you are unable to specify exact fret ranges- for example I would like to specify frets 5 - 8 all strings. Hopefully it's in the works! ** Updated to 5 stars after quick dev response ** @Vlad Thanks! My teacher loves your app too! Right now we are working on CAGED and being able to 'chase chords'/arpeggiate from any pentatonic spot on the neck. I always fall apart around 5 and 8 (frets) and would love to be able to practice that zone. Thanks!

The new 1.38 update has this feature, check the Preferences. If you are working on scales/positions - you may want to check my other app (Guitar Scales & Patterns), which is a reference about those: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.taurajo.guitarscales Vlad

Elegant, single purpose guitar tool. It tells you what note to play. You play the note. The note on your screen turns green if it's correct. Select a range of strings and frets. It keeps track and shows success or failure for each note. As intuitive and simple to operate as a Zippo lighter.
