On a coastal trip of Norfolk in my new campervan in May 2023. Found this hotel/pub/restaurant. Asked if OK to park overnight in my campervan. Just gave my rego and phone number for any emergency. Had one of the best meals ever there. Had a starter of something Thai (can't remember) Large Haddock and chips with all the trimmings and 3 pints of cider all for £30. Definitely going back. A+

The whole idea of this app is to encourage people to publish camper spots, including unofficial ones. Please don't. Look at Southern Europe and you see the effects: The coast is overcrowded with RVs and vans because it has become so easy to find informal spots. Former campsite customers became "wild campers" thanks to apps like this one. Local people are rightfully annoyed and demand bans. And authorities put bans in more and more areas. Let's save informal camping. Let's stop sharing!

Heini, sharing spots is not the problem.
We started StayFree to offer an alternative. There are two main points which we are doing differently:
1. Share spots only with a small amount of people and protect it from the masses.
2. Do clean-ups at (wild camping) spots, show respect to nature and locals.

Looks and works great. Only problem is the lack of sites. Looks like the devs are relying totally on user input. Making it unlikely that there will be that many locations added. Since the app is pretty useless in most areas I checked had no sites listed. Seen similar with other apps totally relying on user input. No to very little sites already added results in not many people using the app. Which in turn results in very few locations being added if any at all in a lot of locations.

Hello Woody, thank you for your feedback. It undoubtedly depends from where are you using the app, sorry to hear that there where you were looking for a spot was no place at this moment. Our Community is growing fast and if you give StayFree App another chance you will see that the number of wild spots is constantly increasing.
