spotfindr helps you find awesome drone spots right next to you or across the globe. Never know where to fly your drone or where people get their spots from? Now you have your answer: spotfindr. Have a spot you want to share but don't know where? spotfindr got you covered. Download the app, sign in and just add it. Our review process, which is done by real humans, makes sure that only high-quality places are being added.

Moreover, you can see whether it is legal to fly at a spot or not. Or you can check drone restrictions at your current position, which comes in very handy when you wanna fly somewhere where there isn't a spot!

It doesn't matter whether you are more of an FPV-flyer or a cinematographer, spotfindr has the right drone spots for every occasion. There even is something for mini-quads. it's a very nice concept and i'd love to see this apps community grow. two feature requests though: for one a satellite view would be nice. also i have a couple spots saved on google maps, so it would be cool if you could use the 'share location' feature in google maps with this app. edit: ah, i didn't see the satellite button. thank you :)

Thanks for your feedback! A satellite mode has already been implemented, try to update the app and it should be there :)

The idea seems really nice! But the map animation jerks too much. And the reason why i had to uninstall the app is bc I've used the app approx. 3 times and it drained 200 MB of my mobile data which is definetely too much. If this gets fixed I'll come back and look at it again. Update ~ 3 weeks later: The App has not only reduced it's mobile data usage but also added really cool new features. Really awesome. I'll use it in the future.

Hi! Thanks for your review, we will see how we can improve the mobile data usage and let you know if it's fixed. We are sorry that you had to uninstall spotfindr again. What do you mean with 'too jerky'? Edit: we have reduced the data usage in our new update and hope you will download spotfindr again and adjust your rating :)

So far I think it's great app. The fact that I can login with my Google account saves me from creating yet another account. I also like that, besides spots, meetups can be created. The reason that this app doesn't get 5 stars is because it sometimes is a bit slow/clunky and because there is no option to filter spots. I think it would be nice to, for example, only show spots with the label "Bando" if I want to fly in something like that.
