Really sucks to spend the money and time to build a set of headlights that you're so proud of to find out you can only control the lighting half of the time. With my phone's location on the app it's still loosing connection between drives. I really wish they would get the bugs worked out so I can enjoy my head light build

phone dependant, lack of abilities, i made an ESP32 able to connect and get full control of the lights, can add music abilities, change colors at will even with pots and buttons, or via CANbus communication. Best part is reconnect is really fast and color retention is retained. This opens up the XBT controller to be more controlled by the user without requiring a phone. Also the location in the app is fishy, because I see it connects to baidu servers, lucky I don't have that running on my phone

Works great when it wants to. Which is rarely when I need it to. Thought maybe it was my old Galaxy S7 but nope does the same thing on my brand new Z Flip 3. Even after reinstalling/re-pairing it still does the same thing. Adding permissions didn't help. I know it's not the bluetooth signal because my phone will list the device in the Bluetooth menu. It's pretty sad when you have to read reviews for troubleshooting tips...
