I used Roon for years and drove many to use it. However, more than six months ago, I moved at home to Audirvana Studio for superior sound quality, and I use Qobuz app on my phone when I am outside. I have a lot of music files from my old CDs. But everything today is streaming. Roon with ARC, in my opinion, did not add much value to its customers but added to their portfolio for the acquisition. It made the app complex. Roon neither the best at what I want—music at home and on the go.

The tidal and qobuz integrations are awful. Favoriting songs requires adding the entire album to your library, but adding them to your doesn't work 90% of the time. Then favoriting the album or song doesn't add them to your favorites in Tidal or Qobuz.

On my Samsung S23 Ultra device, once I switch to a different app and come back to Roon remote, the app is unresponsive and does not show current track playing. I have to close Roon remote and run the app again then everything is back to normal until I switch to another app. Now that Samsung has bought Roon, I am hoping for a better and more advanced integration with Samsung Mobile devices such as enabling voice command via Bixby.
