Ever wanted to monitor and manage your QNAP Turbo NAS with your Android mobile device? The free Qmanager app is the perfect answer.
Prerequisites:
- Android 7.0 or later
- QNAP NAS running firmware V4.2 or later
- Best resolution: 480 x 800
Major features of Qmanager:
- Monitor your system information, such as CPU usage, memory usage, system event info, online user…
- Check your download station, backup task info. You also can manage the download task or backup task remotely. You can pause or run the task.
- Turn on/off application services via Qmanager with one simple click.
- Check connection status or the current online users to prevent invasion.
- Restart or shutdown the Turbo NAS remotely.
- Use “Find My NAS” to let your NAS turn on the “Beep” sound.
- WOL (Only support on Local Network)

NAS is 24TB home archive. Malware and virus check take up to 60 hours each churning through 99.9% static files. Firstly if there is CPU activity describe what it is. Secondly have the ability to schedule or manually run virus and malware checks from the app so I'm not burning 100x more disk life hours scanning data than I am accessing it. I was stupid to buy ironwolf pro drives because of long spin up time and agricultural noise but please change the wake timeout or cache more data in memory.

Really too limited featurss. Cannot configure more than 10% of the GUI settings. Just good to add users and start app, upgrade fmw (which is automatic anyway...). So in the end I have to connect to webui from mobile and that's just a pain as the UI is not designed for mobile screens, so have to use desktop mode on mobile. This was acceptable in 2015 but we are in 2023 now.

Very useful app. But it is slow, or its communication with NAS is slow, and the UI is stuck when the app communicates with NAS and that is pretty annoying, especially when you click on something you didn't want to and cannot change it. Please make the app quicker.
