This is a very good app in principle! But, when I check those against a brand new "well known" spirit level, unfortunately it's 0.5 out as it shows 89.5 when the spirit level Is correct. When you set this Clinometer to 90 the spirit level shows its bubble just about going past the line on one side! I've even checked it with no case on my phone and it's still incorrect 🙃 Does anybody know why this is?

The thing works OK, but in the pictures for the description, it shows a bubble level (the one with the 45 on it) as well as the 360 degree level. The bubble one shows up randomly for a second or two, then leaves. I can't figure out how to set it to stay on. The rest of the app is fine and easy to use, but I knocked off two start for this problem and because I wrote the developer twice over two weeks and received no reply. Truthfully, when a developer wants money for ads to leave, that is fine & good- But if they don't reply to questions after they have your cash, that is no good. I took it off the phone. PS: If you feel the level is not accurate, it is most likely not the app's fault. It is more likely your phone's motion sensor. Try using the phone's calibration routine & the app's.

Just downloaded this to assist in setting up my astrophotography tripod. Being level is critical being able to track stars or other astronomical targets. Using Clinometer, the first night I went to setup my rig, it worked as described using the "Bubble Level." After leveling, I was the able to use the Clinometer to set the angle to match my latitude. This made finding Polaris much easier, as I just needed to adjust the star tracker right or left, panning to find and align.
