Hope I never need to find my dog in a hurry, this App is slow and clunky verging on useless. Starting a walk is little more than starting a stop watch, if you want to track your pet then you need to wait a further 5 minutes for it to go through the process of phoning in. DESIGNERS - AT LEAST MAKE IT CHANGE THE DIAL IN FREQUENCY TO EVERY 2 MINUTES, then change it back at the end of the walk. Also, the way it calculates the run / walk ratio is totally out no matter how you alter stride length.

Unfortunately the app is very slow, taking a long time to load and longer still for the location tool to work. Even with full signal and in good WiFi it will often take five plus minutes to locate my dog, which is very worrying. Sometimes it's not working at all. This is very frustrating & a real shame as there are many things I like about this app. I purchased it for the safety of my dog, and my peace of mind when she is out mooching about, so far haven't found it so reliable or reassuring.

Hello Genevieve - So sorry you've been having problems. Have you contacted us on help@pitpatpet.com? We can help you. It's important to understand that "good coverage" on your phone isn't necessarily "good coverage" on the network your PitPat uses. We can tell you what to expect and offer you a refund if you're unhappy :-(.

The app can be slow at times but is overal good. However I would like to see the option to disable the yes/cancel confirmation prompt after tapping "Start Walk" would be beneficial. While I understand its purpose is likely to prevent accidental taps, an alternative like a hold-to-start or a countdown with a cancel option might improve user experience, as can be frustrating to finish a walk only to find the app stuck on the yes/cancel question when I got to "stop walk".
