Shadow Weather had been a great replacement since the loss of Dark Sky, but notification have become mostly unreliable. Out of 6 weather alerts I should have gotten today, my iPad received 1 and my Android phone received 1 other. Lightning alerts have also been missing for a month or more. All of these events do appear within the app, but there are no notifications despite being enabled in app and system settings. Missing several storm and tornado warnings today was just unacceptable.

good in principle. Temperature is often accurate with GPS on, or not. However does not provide basic radar imagery unless you are premium member the free basic version works well but other weather apps can show sattelite radar wind and rain. There are dissimilarities between weather bit, open weather, Apple weather....depending on which one is used temperature ranges & rain forecast timing & volume may vary significantly. service, or actual records: and experience

thanks for the feedback! you can get a slightly less condensed layout by adjusting your phones font size. otherwise its possible you might just prefer using a different app with a totally different layout!

Was using this for years, but then it started demanding I turn on my location and use Google services. There is a prompt with no thanks as an option but it dismisses the prompt and comes right back. So it forces you to turn it on or in my case, decide enough is enough and delete the app. I should be able to manually specify locations. Edit: After reading the dev response, I reinstalled to work out the issue. Was going to email the dev, but sorted it myself.

hi, i have had to deal with the issue before, its a google prompt. you can manually specify locations in the app! you can even remove the gps location and that will stop the prompt. i think removing location permissions will also work. if youre interested, please email me so i can help you resolve the issue!
