MUBI Go is the best value membership in existence, especially if you're based in London, with its wide choice of cinemas. However, since January, several films have only been covered a few weeks after their release date, meaning that it wouldn't be as easy to find cinemas who are still showing them. Also, while the app redesign looks fancy, at the Picturehouse I usually go to, they're now unable to read the QR codes in the app, so they usually have to enter the number instead.

The bundle with streaming is a good idea especially if you can buy at the right price. However, being unable to pre book a film at the cinema even on the same day is just ridiculous. I've made my way to a cinema only to be told that the screen is full. Wasted journey and wasted week of a free film. Almost all cinema websites have the ability for codes to be entered at purchase point online so I wish we could do that even if only on the same day Edit: cheers mubi for explaining my exact complain

Your issued QR code does not count as a reservation. If a screening is sold out before you claim your ticket, you will need to select another showtime. Your ticket can only be redeemed on the day of. It cannot be held, reserved, or booked in advance on the phone, online, or in person. Our apologies for any inconvenience you experience using GO.

The product concept is great but the execution is poor. It tries to be simple, but to the point of not being very helpful. The use of location over typing in an address makes the service offered completely irrelevant, because users cannot plan what they want to see ahead of time unless they are close to their local cinema. E.g. I'm at work. I don't live near work. I want to see a film near my house this week, but can't find out what's on and where, so it's totally useless! Sort it out!
