About this app

Smart view, folder play, sound enhancing, crossfading. 1by1 plays audio files directly from folders. No need for playlists or media databases. With its clear and simple user interface it does not waste your time and battery with unneeded visualisations.

Resume play remembers track and position - also for different folders. Bookmarking of tracks, positions, lists. File finder (long press on a folder). Directory finder. Sort, shuffle and repeat modes.

Audio enhancers for consistent volume and powerful sound. Gapless and Crossfade for smooth transitions. Mono mix. Fast play. Note: The DSP needs "Internal decoding" enabled in the settings on Android 4.1 or newer.

Exportable internal playlist, M3U/M3U8 playlist support, Webstream play (by URLs in M3U playlists). Track coloring by month or name. Cover art (disableable). Shortcuts by button long press. Sleep timer. Very small app size, ad-free.

Supported types (depending on the system): MP3, OGG, AAC, MP4, WAV, FLAC, OPUS. Note: OPUS only with OGG-extension in Android 5 and 6.

No files shown? Please check the permissions. Problems, crashs, bugs? Please write an e-mail. This helps more than an untracable 1-star rating, thanks!

Permissions: Wake lock (keep playing on screen off), Write on SD card (track delete, playlist export), Internet (webstreaming), Bluetooth (connect options).

Initially, for over a year, was awesome. Played perfectly. Last 2 updates though, changed something. It crashes within 1 to 2 songs. Deleted. Reinstalled. Worked a couple of times, then started crashing again. Deleted again. Not 100% sure if it's their update and/or Samsung's not playing, literally, well together. Too bad. It was a great non ad-intrusive app.

Crashs like these must not occur of course. Unfortunately yours are not reported, so I can't trace them. Please update to the latest version. Also try both play modes with and witout "Internal decoding". Do the crashs come with certain file types or settings?

Very nice minimalistic player. I use it for a long time on my PCs and really glad to have it on Android. Some notes from senior business analyst. :) 1. Most of Settings changes need restart to see it. It will be nice to avoid restart or at list force it automatically. 2. It will be nice to have Bookmarks icon in Controls bar. May be instead of Sort button, it less useful. 3. Control bar on the lock and notification screens is really missing. Many thanks for great utility.

Thank you for your feedback and for using 1by1. In Version 1.13 long press functions for the buttons have been added. You can access the bookmarks with the playlist button. Version 1.13 is avalable at the homepage. I've read about the lock screen issue some times. But whereever I test, I see the notification, and after dragging the three buttons.

Best music app ever. I've been using it in my computer for donkey's years, never bothering with any of those fancy apps/programs; I just see them as a waste of time. Great to now see this on Google. I initially had to download an earlier version from the 1by1 website. As I say, I've used nothing else and never will. Top marks to the developers for this. 5 stars, easily.
