About this app

7 Pad is a tactile instrument and midi controller consisting of chord pads and a virtual piano to play, learn and compose music with harmony using scales and chords on the piano.

Main Features :

- Endless sound possibilities: Choose different sounds for chords and scales with the internal .sf2 soundfont compatible GM synthesizer or control your external hardware or software synthesizer with 3 possible MIDI connections: wifi (PC application required), USB class compliant (interface USB to Midi required) or direct USB with charging cable (Android M or later required).

- Play chords with 7 Pads: Instantly available 12 types of chord harmonized scales with 7 groups of 7 pads, you can store a harmony in each group and customize each chord in CHORD mode. Scales (50+) can also be harmonized with many types (1-3-5,1-3-5-7,...) thanks to the advanced harmonizer.

- Record every chord you play in a SONG progression, edit duration, copy and loop parts, save your work to a file and share it. Use the built-in midi looper to record your live performance.

- Play the scales: The virtual piano can eliminate wrong notes. With your midi keyboard controller connected as usb input: scales can be mapped to the white keys of the midi keyboard. Your list of favorite scales for a SONG can be looped over a chord progression to vary your improvisations.

- Play in rhythm: Change tempo, activate the metronome, play in sync with Ableton Link and Midi Clock. You can use the ARP variations (simple arpeggiator) or customize the rhythm of the chords with the STEP sequencer.

This application is amazing. I've only had it for a few minutes; but wow. I don't buy apps. I don't leave reviews. I bought this and am here leaving a review after just a few minutes of playing I'm likely not using it the way intended. I have hardware that doesn't have scale or chord modes. Take an old phone and put it in between my hardware and midi controller. Done. The dev really needs to make the interface look a bit less cluttered, get someone to help make the settings menu a bit easier to follow and create better videos. This app is incredible. If you've ever wanted a scale quantizer; look no further. You also get a fun ribbon controller that can be absolutely insane if you have a large tablet, dual loopers, the ability to have scales, chords and the bass note sent from/to different midi channels and a bazillion scales and chord sets to play with. This would be a $99 VST. Enhancement requests: 1. I'd pay good money to have this as a VST 2. I'd like to assign a midi CC to switch between the 7 sets of pads. 3. The velocity of the pads is difficult to control on the touch screen. I'd like an upper and lower bounds 4. The filter knob in the giant list of scales is difficult to control. A drop down list would be better. 5. The key layout in the giant list of scales is weird. Use a piano. 6. Please don't take offense; but it looks like this app was designed with powerpoint. 7. The rainbow ribbon controller is crazy. I would buy it + the scales without anything else. 8. When playing from an external keyboard, you show the note that's played. I'd really like if you showed the chord name if we play a chord. 9. Have you seen the Blokas MidiHub? If you could make another app with some of those features... that'd be great.

Thanks for the honest review and the time spent writing it, we'll be considering some of your feedback for the next version update. We don't respond to feature requests here because of the google short answer (350) limitations for dev. Please consider sending those request by email : feedback@sevenpad-music-app.top , we will always answer this way.

just wanna say that this software brings the fun back into writing music! dont let its toyish interface deceve you, its a powerful tool! especially when connected to your hardware or DAW. recently, having talked with the developer about an issue connecting to windows 10 pcs with a new win update, they fixed the issue and it now works flawlessy wirelessly :) very happy customer fully recommended.

I appreciate this app so much. Makes writing all kinds of styles of music exciting and fun. The music theory packed inside that intuitively translates through 7 pad's interface gives me a great feeling of gratitude as I'm now standing on the shoulder of a giant and can find rich and inspiring chord progressions and leads with organic simplicity. I love the new 2.4 feature bringing in GM (perhaps allow user selected soundfonts in future?) and chord flower and keys now capable of individual sound
