I have purchased many deals & used a couple of coupons as well. For the most part, the restaurants have honored the deals. I did have a problem with a place called Jody's in Joliet where they charged me ala carte for each item instead of the meal prices. It ended up costing me nearly double the price. I would recommend that if an establishment trys anything, just contact Local Flavor & get a refund. A couple of my deals that expired during covid were somehow marked as used when they were not.

Overall I'm very happy with the app. Sometimes it's slow to non-responsive when I try to view my certificates, changing from expiration date to alphabetical, for example. I also have had trouble contacting Customer Support through the app. I'll admit that I could be doing something wrong, but that would show that the app wasn't designed to be "Idiot Proof".

I've used the coupons in Local Flavor multiple times. I also share the app by telling other patrons of the restaurant about it and they download it for the coupons also. I like that the coupons can be sent to a phone via text messaging too. It does have a downfall though, it's not too easy to search for a place whenever you put in an area. The restaurant I've used this app for doesn't even show up as an option. You have to actually type the name of the place.
