About this app

The LibraryThing app allows LibraryThing members to catalog and browse their collections. LibraryThing is focused on books, but you can add most media, including books, DVDs and CDs. LibraryThing relies on data from Amazon, and over 65 million library records.

Add books by searching for them or scanning their ISBN barcode with the camera.

Add high-resolution cover photos of your books with the cover editor and browse your books by cover type to find copies that need better covers.

I like this app. It's simple, and straightforward for those of who just want to catalogue the books they own. It is quite simple. I use it to keep track of my books for insurance purposes, and use Goodreads for the more complex things, so this suits me perfectly. I can scan a barcode, or add information manually for older books. This allows me to distinguish between actual books I own, and audio books I have on a app.

Nice idea but app is clunky. It is easy to get lost. If is slow to open a book's info page (maybe it is downloading each time). No way to bulk move books between collections, bulk delete, etc. No way to select a category for a set of books before scanning them. Also the barcode scanner noise quickly becomes annoying and cannot be disabled. Edit: recommend "Handy Library" app instead which is much more usable.

Although this app looks cool it crushes ALL the time. When you scan your book, 2 more random books get added and you can't remove for a few hours because guess what? App crush. If it just worked as well as it looked.... because it does look cool. It's nice seeing all your book covers in one spot.
