Great scale practice tool and better than the many free options I've tried. It's really useful to have the choice of which finger to start a scale therefore have a choice of positions on the neck to play in. Many apps and videos make promises about learning the notes on the neck but this is better than many I've tried.

When you look at a scale in standard notation the stave has six lines instead of five. Strangest mistake I have ever seen in a music app ... I see it is being fixed (14 May 22). Will likely try purchasing the app again when it is ready.

We've created an update (v1.16) that fixes this bug - it's available in beta test now and will be released to live soon.

Only gives one octave!! We could also use optional starting finger. Right now the scales all seemed to start on finger 2 . How about scales that start on the first finger or the third finger and even the fourth finger? Those all involved different patterns that would be useful to practice

Can you see the 'Scale Select...' button at the bottom of the screen? Pressing it will bring up the 'Choose a shape' window where you can pick more patterns (including different octaves and strings). The number of shapes available varies by scale so is there a particular scale you are looking at?
