About this app

The circle of fifths (Sometimes called circle of fourths) is a great tool for understanding the music theory behind the 12 keys of the chromatic scale. It is useful for visualizing the music notation of the different scales, composing chord progressions/modulations and mixing in key.

Features:
- Color-coded relationship between the major, minor and diminished keys
- Key signature and triad for each key
- A sounded chord/arpeggio for each key (With mute/unmute toggle)
- Ability to lock the circle to currently selected key
- A tappable legend indicating the degree of each key in the currently selected group
- Several color schemes
- Modern UI following material design guidelines

I hope you enjoy using this circle of 5ths app as much I as I enjoyed making it! Have fun! - Josh

This app is amazing! No ads, no paywall, and works perfectly fine. It's just like Hal Leonard's Chord Wheel, except it's free and interactive. It would be nice to be able to customize the chords (voicings and inversions) and add extensions and such. It would also be great to have some sort of chord progression generator/builder. Finally, the color schemes are nice, but I would be interested in being able to add personalized cholor schemes. Besides that though, this app is perfect.

This app is really clean and intuitive. As a music producer I will definitely be using this to write more interesting chord progressions for person and professional projects. One thing that I would like to see from the app is a few different instrument types such as pizzicato strings, guitar, electronic keys, or synthesized sounds. Hearing the same lofi midi piano sample gets a little fatiguing on the ears. Aside from that, the app's functionality is flawless.

Good beginner tool. But, this will not help play good sounding music. Because you still have to understand theory and plot chord inversions. This Circle is missing the six&seven sharps It is also missing the seventh flat key signatures. I doubt they are used often. But they should be on the diagram. Nice to carry around for a quick reminder. I really like they used Roman numerals for intervals.
