Tango is an All-In-One Vocabulary Trainer for beginners up to advanced learners. Tango uses Space Repetition to help you learn new words and Kanjis as efficient as possible. You can learn by choosing one of the handcrafted themed Wordbundles or add words from your Japanese Class or Textbook.
Tango is meant to be your complete Japanese vocabulary storage. It helps you to get all the information about new words or words you already know. It helps you to keep track of your learning progress within the Japanese Language Levels.
Tango has a large offline database of all the commonly used words and Kanji together with audio. If you come across a new word just search for it and add it to your Study List!

Newly downloaded. Good so far, attractive material design, but one annoying bug: In "Train Listening," the recorded words get chopped off and the playback is a bit herky jerky. That's using the default setting. I haven't tried adjusting the speed yet. Also ideally would be great if each definition of a word had a sample sentence to fix the meaning in context, but probably too massive an undertaking for an app of this scope.

Hi! Does this happen with the English translation or the Japanese pronouciation? I'll have a look at it. About the example sentences: if yur have not seen it yet, in the word information page you can click on the top right Menü dots and select show examples. This might be helpful to get a feel of how the word is used.

This is great app for practicing vocabulary. Because it switches between listening, reading and translating, it keeps you on your toes. I like that I can add bundles as I progress chapter by chapter through Genki, but can also add my own words to the rotation. The only thing I'm confused about is the algorithm behind the repeat function. I have a bunch of words stuck at repeat 5 and haven't seen them come up again. I'd love the satisfaction of getting them all the way to 'learned'!

Hi Angela! Thanks for your review. About the repeat algorithm: the Intervalls get longer and longer. Repeat 8 does take 3 Month for example ;] just keep learning new words, the old will be ready to repeat soon!

Really promising! Love the audio playback and ability to quickly add new words to review. also the bundles are a great idea! It's a little confusing how it repeats aloud after you tap the correct answer in review mode, because sometimes the audio for the next kanji doesn't play. I was expecting it to say the new kanji too, and realized I was looking for the previous word instead of the current word.
