Lack of clarity. When I clicked on the very generic message saying resources were jlow it took me to a very comprehensive look at my system which included internal and external memory....so I did not see a problem area per se as it appears that memory was fine. Update......See response below from Google. The answer, in my mind, is to make it more intuitive. My review is an opinion. I have no issue with my knowledge....I take issue with how easy it is for others to use it.

Well, Files by Google just got better with it's new update. This update comes with the ability to scan documents from within the files app similar to the Google drive app. You can scan multiple pages, clean them up, crop and add a filter if you'd like. The best feature though imo is being able to combine them into one document and saving it as a PDF. Some features I'd like to see added is a more manual user involved duplicate device scanner. One that allows you to have more control.

When I click the download section it does not load at all and other section takes a lot of time to load. Everything is just slow. This app use to be my favourite & I do boast about it but the recent updates has completely damaged the app. Older version was sleek and quick but unfortunately I can't download it as the app is tied to my phone as a pre installed file manager. It's sad I have to opt for another file manager now.

Hi Daniel. Please share more details about the issue such as file type, tab used to access files etc through this form g.co/help/filesbygoogle for us to investigate further. Thanks!

What's new

When you scan a document, it’s saved in your device’s Scanned folder.
“Documents & other” category is now called “Documents” to make it easier to find PDF files. Other files, like backup and database files, can be found in “Downloads” or “Internal storage”.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll roll out search improvements like recently opened files, quick results, and dropdown filters to make finding files even easier.
