The current pricing strategy for the Wi-Fi heat map app may be hindering its adoption and increasing its vulnerability to unauthorized distribution. While users may be willing to pay a small fee of $1.99 or $2.99, the $20 price point appears to be a barrier. This pricing strategy should be reevaluated to ensure the app's long-term viability and security. Update: I gave 1 star because of deceptive marketing, we believed it has heap map analyzer, but after installing, we came to know it's paid.

You are right. The current price point is a barrier for further development. Even $20 is not a sustainable strategy for quality. Honestly, if a product's price is expensive for you does not mean the product is worth a low-star rating. Update: NetSpot for Android was never advertised as free. Your reference to deceptive marketing is not true.

Heat maps are under the paywall. Don't even bother downloading this garbage guys. And based on the response I got here it was developed by someone with mental issues. Who knows what they do with your data. I will report this app to Google and hope they will remove it from the store.

Garbage? So anything that's not free is garbage, according to you? I was walking in Dublin one day, and the sign on a barber shop said this "Cheap haircut cannot be good. Good haircut cannot be cheap." NetSpot is a professional tool for WiFi surveys, troubleshooting, and planning (coming soon on Androids). It's also very affordable to non-experts.

Very easy to use and great for showing basic info about what other WiFi access points are contending for specific frequency ranges, and who strong your signal is for a given access point anywhere in your home. I used it to setup my extender instead of using the manufacturers app that only tells you "you can locate a little farther", which is not really useful, and NetSpot provided the info I needed. I also like the speed test feature which provides more good information, because signals strength and speed are not always in alignment on a wireless network. Overall, very easy to use and provides the information most people would need for setting up a home network.
