About this app

Finally, an email service that's built around your privacy. Get your @criptext.com email address and see what it's like to have peace of mind and privacy in every email you send.

Features:

+End-to-end Encryption: Criptext uses the open source Signal Protocol library to encrypt your emails. Your emails are locked with a unique key thatβ€˜s generated and stored on your device alone, which means only you and your intended recipient can read the emails you send.

+No data collection: unlike every other email service out there, Criptext doesn't store your emails in its servers. Instead, your entire inbox is stored exclusively on your device.

+Open Source: our source code is open for everyone to see that Criptext actually works the way it's advertised. You don't have to trust us, you can verify for yourself: https://github.com/Criptext

+Easy to use: our app is designed to work as simple as any other email app β€” so much so, you'll forget how secure it is.

Get Criptext and see how easy it is to email with more security and privacy!

Great start. App is a little unstable, but getting better with each update. I don't see how the device mailbox sync will scale with larger inboxes on newly added devices, but time will tell. Would really love to see more features: alias/secondary email addresses, encrypted cloud backup (Gdrive/Dropbox), contact sync, custom/personal domains, calendar... all things in good time. Lots of potential.

Noticed a while back that there was like one month of email that didn't download. Although phone memory was getting full. Apears to download emails to your internal memory. So if you get a lot of email and don't delete it can hog up your internal memory. Although did notice a firmle on Google Drive for this app but don't know how to download if I were to switch phones. I did miss a lot of emails. And when taping to archive emails I noticed that there was not an archive folder! So where are they?

Pitiful performance. I had heard good things. Shame none of those were true. Painfully slow, doesn't maintain deleted messages older than a few days, struggles with common formatting used by the majority of senders, making you open in a browser for those features to work, catches "spam" that isn't. Too bad. Was a nice idea, but poorly executed. Also won't restore backups without an error. This app sucks.
