A lightweight, no-nonsense sticky note widget! Resizable, scrollable, and enabled for both your home screen and (on devices running Jelly Bean and KitKat) lock screen. No permissions required! The Plus version allows you to choose background color, background transparency, font size, and share note text to other apps.
There is a hidden sticky note history feature that allows users to view their sticky note edits from the past 24 hours (in case of accidental deletion, etc). To access the feature:
1) Add a sticky note widget to your home screen.
2) Open the sticky note widget editor by tapping on the widget.
3) Double-tap the editor screen 5 times in quick succession.
4) Swipe left and right on the history screen to see the available notes

I've been using this app for a long time. Exactly the type of app I was looking for, a simple note app. In the past my phone did a reset once and all my notes from this app were gone. The app did not cause the reset but I still lost everything. EDIT: Changed to 5 stars. Contacted the developer and heard from him very quickly. There is a history feature and all my notes were recovered!

Excellent app without the multitudes of useless, pointless features that most others offer. Also, I love the transparent background option. I'd greatly appreciate only three small additional features: the option to set the font colour (at least to white for contrast on a transparent note) and to allow bold text; and the option to orient the text horizontally (left, center, right). But even it its current form, it is splendid.

Have used the free version of this widget for at least 10 years. Loved it. Just found out that this one let's you customize font size and have some color options. Definitely worth the price to be able to fit my device theme better. For both versions of the widget I have had 0 problems over multiple years and devices. I can power off my phone and it will still be there when powered back on. I love that no permissions are needed so everything is private and secure. Big thanks to the developer!!!
