About this app

iChooseTo may not work on devices which are very restrictive with background processes (e.g. Samsung, OnePlus, Huawei, Xiaomi). Please visit dontkillmyapp.com to eventually make it work!

Main functionalities:
- iCT: Before you open an app (of choice) you get displayed a screen (for a choosen amount of time), asking you if you really want to open it.
- re-iCT: Choose again after a certain amount of time
- iCT-on-unlock: Stop unconsciously checking your phone. iCT-on-unlock will show up each time you attempt to unlock your phone and ask you if you really want to do it.

You find yourself wasting hours on semiproductive apps like YouTube, Instagram, Reddit or WhatsApp?
You've tried every app from the PlayStore that promised to make you more productive but you still have the bad habit to click on time-wasting apps without second thought?
Why is iChooseTo different?
1) It gives YOU the power to choose: You can use apps for productive and unproductive things. So why block them completely? iCT asks you if you really want to open the app and forces you to make conscious decisions
2) It stops you BEFORE you already wasted time: Many appblockers stop you after you run out of time. They "limit" the time you're able to waste. iCT makes it less probable that you waste time in the first place!

Give it a try, write a review with ideas for improvement and be a part in the process of making this the best "appblock-app" for android!

I've used a similar app that was much more limited and way shadier. I trust this guy to not sell my info while still providing the simple but useful utility of this app. 10/10 definitely recommend >yea, one sec i think

Simple & Effective My use: + 2 sec wait and manually starting the counter, fast use of the target app but with a warning and conscious action. + 4 min re-chooseto, 7 sec wait, constant reminders to disengage. + Constantly editing the message to something personally meaningful, actionable and concrete. Combined with: + Deleting problematic apps, if the urge is big I will redownload them. + Search for everything. On home screen only non-problematic apps. Make it difficult to TURN IT OFF

This sounds perfect 👌 I'd add a deep and conscious breath each time when iChooseTo opens :) And remind yourself that trying to be productive can eventually lead to some advanced form of procrastination. Aaaand sometimes it's totally ok to waste some time! Thank u so much and kind regards, Jonas

The app is good. I would give 5 five stars, however a major flaw is the waiting time screen sometimes appears twice when launching an app. Also the app doesn't also run in the background properly but that's probably more of my oem fault then the app developer. Edit: I changed the time from 10s to 5s and now it only appears once. I also downloaded good guardian and changed it to quick switching mode. I also went to device care and excluded the app in memory settings. I am using s20 android 12

I'm sry, I thought I already replied but I didn't! May u be able to send a mail of the appearing-twice-problem? This is the first time I hear of this problem. Background-Problem: Visit dontkillmyapp.com Maybe this will solve the first problem too! Again, sorry for the late reply!
