About this app

FifthCircle is an interactive circle of fifths and fourths that lets you explore musical harmony simply by playing chords. FifthCircle is very useful in many ways for beginners and experienced musicians.
Its main features are :
- turn the wheel to set the key
- choose major or minor harmonisation, the chord degrees will appear accordingly
- select the chord notes and intervals you want to hear (tonic, third, fifth and / or seventh)
- play chords by simply pressing on the wheel
- create and record new chord progressions (it's possible with 7th and 7thb5 chords too)
- copy and share your progressions
- mute and unmute sound

This is a good app to find how chord progressions would sound. Good song writing tool. The only thing is that you can't backspace your last chord. When you hit delete it deletes the whole progression. It would be nice to have it so you can play a chord and see how it would sound into another chord and if you don't like it ho back and try another. I do like however that you can share the progression and copy it out. Overall I like it. 👍

It's a very useful tool to tinker and play around with different chords to get a feel for how they sound. Very handy for devising chord progressions to start music projects. I wish it had a metronome and step sequencer to record a basic 4 or 8 bar loop of the chord progressions to act as a reference in a project. Thanks for the app, devs!

It's a great beginning. And it's free! Thanks for that. Question. I can't figure out how to hear a chord progression all in order. Maybe it's not possible yet. The spinning of the circle is a great idea. Almost instantaneous feedback for chords that work in the various keys. Suggestion for future iterations: saving a chord progression as an Mp3. Thanks for your work. Keep it up. I think with a few additions and tweaks you could charge for this eventually.
