Light Notes

It introduced annoying ads. When I just want to take a quick note, I don't have time to watch an ad. Be careful, if you close an ad before it finishes playing, your note will not be saved! Now I have to move all my notes to a different app. I wouldn't pay for such a basic app. Thankfully there are tons of other note taking apps that are free, open source or already come preinstalled on your phone. I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone.

Malwarebytes identified this app as an infection. I don't know if that's an error, but Light Notes has stored 9MB of user data - I found out during a routine cache clean - before I've ever used the app as far as I remember (forgot I'd installed it ages ago). I and many IT professionals, have great trust in Malwarebytes; I don't know this app or developer. User data deleted first, then uninstalled!

Nice work for what it is, but I must post this review to remember I've tried it on my (eternal, apparently!) quest for a note app with the basic functionality I'm looking for. • No dark theme, or any background choices other than white (unusable in low light). • Can't sort notes manually. • Can't list notes by titles only (requires 2– 3x as much scrolling—must we really see all the 1st lines of text too? Why?) • Can't group notes (folders, tags). Thanks for letting me try it though!
