About this app

No ads, nags, or in-app purchases. No internet connection required. Fully functional offline Morse code app.

Certain settings on your Android device will curtail the sensitivity and performance of this app and should be turned OFF during its use. Default settings are recommended.

Two examples are Tap Duration and Ignore Repeated Touches (Settings > Accessibility > Interaction and Dexterity > Tap Duration/Ignore Repeated Touches).

Practice sending International Morse code with straight lever and iambic paddle CW Morse code practice oscillators app for Android smartphones and tablets. This app DOES NOT interface with your ham radio to provide a keying device.

Each practice oscillator translates International Morse code into Latin letters, Arabic numerals, punctuation, CW prosigns, and characters á, ch, é, ñ, ö, and ü in real time as you practice.

Practice sending Morse code with a straight lever oscillator. Settings include WPM, show/hide Morse code/text, choose sidetone 400Hz-800Hz. Adjust the WPM so that you can produce well formed DITs and DAHs at a comfortable speed.

Practice sending Morse code with an iambic paddle oscillator. Simply touch down on the DIT and DAH paddles instead of pinching, squeezing, or flinging the paddles. Settings include WPM, CW weight ratio, reverse paddles, show/hide Morse code/text, choose sidetone 400Hz-800Hz. Touch and hold both paddles to cycle between DIT and DAH and feel the iambic rhythm.

Here is a brief instruction on using an iambic paddle key to send Morse code:

Press and hold the Clear Code/Text button to adjust CW and Text label font sizes.

You may use a real straight key with this app by connecting to your Android device via an easily modified USB mouse.

Alternatively, you may use a 3rd-party device such as My-Key-Mouse USB.

This app may be of interest to amateur ham radio QRP and QRO operators, and CW Morse code or telegraph enthusiasts, preppers and survivalists.

I'm learning CW and this is the best app I've found for sending practice. However I have some improvement suggestions: 1. Preferences and key type should save between sessions. 2. The WPM slider should be linear for 5-50 wpm, or even better use a number input box. It's difficult to select higher speeds. 3. The code/text area size should be limited. It covers the keys as it fills up. 4. Ability to connect a iambic key through the audio jack would be very nice!

Great app for practicing. It crashes frequently (probably once every 3min). The cost of the app would be worth it if it did not crash. With the constant crashes I currently would recomend being hesitant of purchasing this app.

I have been using this app on the train during my commute to and from work, using earbuds. This has been good for developing my rhythm and timing. I especially like paddling! -G
