About this app

This is the ad-free version.

This app contains fifty of the best Bass Grooves (Bass Lines) in contemporary popular music.

These are Bass Grooves from different music styles which has been arranged from the simplest to the most complex.

This is an educational app that pays tribute to some of the best Electric Bass artists who have left an indelible stamp on contemporary popular music.

You do not need to know how to read music to use this app. You should simply see the animations of what the fingers of the left hand should do on the Bass's arm and play by imitation on your own Bass.

- In each exercise there is a “SLOW” button with which you can listen to the music at a slow speed and see the animations of the fingers of the left hand on the Bass fretboard, as if you were watching someone play in front of you, slowly. You can click on the bar from which you want to repeat. This section allows you to learn the Groove.

- You will also see animations of the beats (rhythm) and the notes on the staff. This helps you to understand, intuitively, the way in which music is written and read. In this way, you learn to play each Groove by imitation and at the same time you understand the basis of musical writing and reading.

- There is also a “NORMAL” button with which you listen to the music at it´s real speed. There are no more animations. The Groove is repeated over and over again so you can practice until you reach the normal speed.

- You can use this section to improvise along the Groove that is repeated over and over again.

Pretty good good lines to learn. There's a few ads but meh... If I could make a suggestion is that when you play at a slower speed it would be good if you could turn the neck of the guitar around so it gives the 'mirror' effect of what you are playing. So as I play right handed make the fretboard app left handed.
