Magic Lantern

Using for icicar led pods. When the app opens, it always says it's on when the lights aren't on. You have to toggle once or twice to get the lights to actually turn on. The app starts from auto play when you turn it on. The module remembered the last mode that was on, but the app doesn't. Very annoying. Can't make any custom sequences. Can't save a list of favorite patterns. I wish I had thought to check out the app before installing the lights. I would have returned them.

This is basically a malware to your device. In google play the app states that it does not collect any data, but, once you open up the app, you're faced with a deeper penetration of data collection than what you would expect for a lamp controller app. Record mics, full storage access, sensor data, gps locations both coarse and percise, access to re-read data later. Also they state that no 3rd party SDKs are involved, yet then they say that your data is shared with a 3rd parties. Nope for me👎

Edit!* I STILL despise the update. What happened to the whole extra list set of runback light settings? There used to be a candle option as well as a HUGE ton of others that are now *poof* gone. Frankly I'm absolutely furious about it because the update also just blows. That was the light setting I used 99.99999% of the time and now I can't get it back to that at all. So these lights are basically entirely useless for their setup now. Please for the love of whatever un-update this.
