About this app

The VOR Flex app is an information and booking platform for demand-oriented transport in the eastern region of Austria. With the VOR Flex app, you can book and pay for your journey easily and flexibly.

How does the app work?
Download the VOR Flex app from the App Store and register. Select your start and destination point in the app and confirm the trip. Alternatively, you can still book via the AST hotline 0800 222 322.
Now you just have to move to your desired starting point and drive comfortably to your destination. Payment can be made either directly in the app or as usual cash after your drive.

What are the advantages of the VOR Flex app?
• Simple and flexible booking in the app
• Individualised customer profile (storage of the time card, payment details, repeated booking, accessibility of the vehicle, etc.)
• Real-time information on the booked trip including the live location of the vehicle in the app
• All price information at one glance
• Overview of your trips in the customer profile (easier booking of repeated trips, standing orders, etc.)

How can I use the VOR Flex app?
The demand-oriented system drives you from collection point to collection point in your community at the desired time. You can select your preferred travel time in the app and book it directly. As an additional service, the system offers repeated booking, so you can plan your way to work on each day of the week in advance with the VOR Flex app. With the automatic storage of your journeys in the smartphone calendar, you always have an overview of all your journeys.
The service times differ from community to community. You can find detailed information on the operating times and the entry and exit locations in your community in the app.

How much does a trip cost me?
Passengers with a valid weekly, monthly or annual ticket of the Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region only pay a small comfort surcharge for their journey, which can differ in each community. You can find detailed information in the VOR Flex app. Depending on your community the cost of the trip can be paid directly and conveniently to the driver using a credit card in the app or in cash.

The app and the way it functions is extremely unrealistic. Developers and policy makers should take the train or talk to the people who do so every day. Once there's delay, which frequently occurs, the whole system collapses together with this "Flex" system. They forgot to put the flexible in the VOR Flex system. Sometimes the car leaves with a single passenger because even if you go to the same spot you can't book in the 30 minutes timeframe before the ride. What a waste of energy and resources

The app isn't suggesting any shuttle rides in Tulln any more. It's giving only some weird combinations of public transport (which is not very reliable in Tulln) which include also for example 15 min walk to the next bus station... Therefore, it's completely useless... Maybe it's possible to book a shuttle ride by phone- but that's inconvenient for many people.

Damn, I've used many public transport apps but this one is the worst. 1) tried to sign me up for spamlist 2) asked for phone number, birth date, full name... 3) seemingly ignored my departure time setting... 4) Instead of telling me where I'm going from, it seemed to want me to drag a pin on the map 5) Very ambiguous language (searching for connections is called request ride) 6) Only payment options are card and cash. I have a klimaticket, how about that? 7) didn't even find the AST connection.
