I was a little skeptical after reading the older reviews. But I haven't experienced any of the issues previously reported by other users, including the comment regarding the "Google QuickMemo" knock-off. My text files are stored as '.txt' on my phone. I just needed a very simple notepad to write .txt files for my python scripts and ideas, this was exactly like the Notepad app on my Windows PC. Nothing fancy, I don't even notice the ads. Props to the developer for this, great work!

It is ok. On the plus side the (new?) "copy file" feature is good because it may be used to make a backup copy. As others mention having sub folders would be an improvement. Also personally I would say a find within file feature would be helpfull; as would a search feature for all files. I have come across a problem of not being able to paste external text in to txtpad, (in edit mode and keyboard typing ok) whilst knowing same text will succesfully paste in to other apps. (unable to reproduce)

Pretty good, but shortcomings include: (1) Select All feature only available in edit mode. I would like to be able to select/copy all text without entering edit mode. It's an unnecessary step. (2) Can only access options such as font settings when opening the app directly. Cannot access these options when opening the app by selecting a text file.
