About this app

The Paxton Key app allows system users to make use of their smartphone or smartwatch in place of electronic tokens or traditional keys with a Paxton10 system. These are called smart credentials and are completely free with Paxton10.

Please note, this app is compatible with Paxton10 V3.3 and newer only.

Utilising the built-in Bluetooth® wireless technology in Paxton10 readers, your smart device can securely communicate with the Paxton10 system to grant or deny access through any Paxton10 door.

When presented to a wall mounted reader, the Paxton Key app enables you to gain access to a Paxton10 controlled building or car park without a physical token. The 'virtual keys' can be sent to users prior to visiting a building, streamlining administration and allowing convenient access.

Paxton Key also enables the user to carry out predefined building management functionality, such as setting the intruder alarm.

Paxton Key works on Wear OS allowing you to use your smartwatch to gain entry to your access controlled doors.

About Paxton10:

Combining next generation access control and video management on one user-friendly, online interface means you can manage the security of your site easily.

Once access control and video management has been installed you can manage who has access to your building and when, from the same software that provides video footage of what happens on site.

All doors on the system will lock automatically and will only open when an authorised access token is presented. Should a forced entry attempt be made, the surveillance cameras will capture the event and alert the system administrator.

This app directly supersedes the Paxton Key v1 app (discontinued 30th November 2022)

Works well most of the time for my car park (Bluetooth token mode) But today my mobile network operator had bad outages and the key didn't work at all. This meant the car was effectively locked away and unusable. I'm going to try to rescue my car tonight. Will it work if I hotspot wifi from a second phone on a different mobile network that isn't suffering outages today?

This is not working on my android phone. First time it loaded on my phone and would not open the gate. Uninstaller and reinstalled. Now the app does not even open. This is ridiculous and worthless

The Paxton app no longer works on my Samsung phone. I've re-installed. Still doesn't work. The report fault doesn't work either. Submitted it 3 times without any response!
