About this app

SmartToken is a mobile banking application designed for ČSOB clients,
as a two-factor authorization (2FA) app, which is used for electronic signature and client login in ČSOB electronic banking services.
Each generated code is unique and its validity is limited in time.

The application must be activated before first use. For activation you need a identification number, PIN and unique activation key from an SMS, or obtained through a branch or CSOB Infoline.
An internet connection is required to activate the application. After aktivation can also be used as offline app.

Never provide the generated codes to other persons and do not enter them into websites and applications that do not belong to ČSOB. The Bank will never ask you to send or notify the code generated by the SmartToken application or other security codes.

For security reasons, this application does not work on root or otherwise modified operating systems and devices.

The application is supported for phones with OS Android 9.0 and later. For Android OS 5 to 8.1, is an older version available, without further support and updates.

The application is available in English and Slovak language.

After fingerprint identification fails a few times, there is an overlay what's says "opakujte akciu + ok", but which doesn't show the on-screen fingerprint area on the screen. All I can do is click ok, which loops back to the same overlay, no way to back out or choose to use the pin code instead of the fingerprint. There should be a way to revert to pin code identification if fingerprint fails.

I tried to pay online only for the transaction to not appear for confirmation. I tried to redo the operation but instead got a notif for the old transaction, which was marked as invalid and the new transaction nowhere to be seen. I have no idea what happened but this application royally sucks from the get go. You should reconsider the team who came up with a standalone application for confirming transactions instead of implementing it into the general one 😑

Quite weak 2FA apps compared to other banks I use. Need to type back generated token from phone to IB, instead of just confirming via phone. Once activated I did not find an option to validate via SMS or somehow else (as a fallback, i.e. if camera unable to capture the qr code - happened already). Sometimes it forgetts to offer fingerprint verification (usually first payment/login works with fingerprint, subsequent payments show only PIN but no fingerprint).
