It's such a great and simple resource for just reading. A lot of other apps try to add too many different features, and make themselves bloated. That said, I think a good feature would be notes on selected text. You could select text, write notes, and review them later. This would help with translating phrases and understanding hiragana words. Like on paper, you could underline and write the meaning/grammar.

Thank you so much for the feedback and review! I'm working on a rebuild of the app that will further simplify it but also hopefully address this in one way, supporting hiragana words. If you're interested to help out and test it early I'd love to hear your thoughts. Email me on david@greycastle.se if you are interested.

Just jumping in, but looks to cover a gap I was having in my learning. Just a few quick things I noticed: needs a dark mode very bad. It is binding at night. I would also love to see some clickable grammar explanations. And when clicking on a kanji, bring the current usage to the top. Right now if it's a verb, often have to scroll to find the correct definition. But overall it looks promising and will see what more it has to offer. Thanks for the app and material.

It would be great if, in the list of the meaning of the kanji, if it's one made of 2 or more kanji, the meaning of the individual kanjis could be shown. It would also greatly improve the app if you could add a dark mode AND an easy-to-access furigana switch. I'd love to be able to switch it on and off without having to open the option menu.
