About this app

With this app you can control your computer's keyboard and mouse (using a touchpad). Furthermore, you can project a digital laser pointer dot on your screen or projector, which is controlled by the movement of your Android device.

Advantages:
- control your computer from your couch
- when your screen output is being recorded on presentations, the laser pointer can also be recorded
- the digital laser pointer point is better visible in bright rooms
- you can simultaneously flip the slides back and forth on your Android device and control the mouse
- you can use the app as barcode/QR code scanner for your computer

Please download the free software for your PC (Linux, macOS and Windows) from: https://sieber.systems/s/rp

The goal of this project is to provide a complete self-hosted remote control application without dependencies to external servers and without tracking.

Link to download the server is dead, so you cannot make it work. The link to RemotePointer-Server jar redirects to the main website. You can download the client (this app), but not the server. Without the server this app is pretty much useless. Go to your link, click "Download PC-Application", what happens? Redirects to georg-sieber.de

It only concerned the English version of the website. I corrected the link, it now redirects to the Github releases page as intended. Please check it again.

I thought this was going to help me to see where in the world my touch is going but this is a PC app and yet you need to still download X stuff from the internet... Very misleading... RESPONSE: I mean, I thought this app will add an option when if I touch the screen a transparent, or red dot will appear, indicating my touch spot and help me with my accuracy (ex. Swipe up). Also, the description is kinda misled even for the objective you want to reach.

Please explain what you mean with "where in the world my touch is going". The app description makes it clear what the app does and of course, to control your mouse cursor you need a software counterpart on your computer. Do you think that a 1-star rating is therefore really justified?

Works great as a remote touchpad. Also has keyboard support as an IAP. Maybe a TV mode could be added where the gyroscopic pointer would also move the mouse?
