The project Cultural and Natural Heritage for the Development of the Polish-Czech Borderland “Common Heritage” is implemented by 11 partners from 8 regions of the Polish-Czech border, and its main goal is to increase tourist traffic in this area. The project covers the Dolnośląskie and Śląskie (partially) and Opolskie (entirely) voivodships on the Polish side and the Liberecký, Královehradecký, Pardubický, Olomoucký and Moravskoslezský provinces on the Czech side.
In the "Common Heritage - Game" application, the user will find a field game that will guide him through the most interesting objects in the area covered by the project. There are 20 places in all, including gems such as the castle hill in Cieszyn, the Holy Trinity column in Olomouc, the Dolni Oblast complex in Vitkovice or the castle in Moszna. While crossing the Polish-Czech border, the user solves puzzles related to the place in which he is located. The game is based on geolocation, and the tasks are mainly based on perceptiveness: to complete a task, you need to carefully look around a given place, and then solve a crossword, arrange a puzzle, indicate a place in a photo, choose the appropriate answer in the quiz or complete the missing text. The puzzles have a different level of difficulty, which makes them attractive for both younger and slightly older tourists. Completing the game will reveal the final password and receive a virtual diploma.
The application works offline, for its proper operation it is only necessary to download the data once. The content contained therein has been prepared in Polish and Czech. Another component of the project is the "Common Heritage" guide application, in which the places found in the game are presented.
