The audio guide presents three museum collections belonging to the Municipal Cultural Center in Olkusz.
The African Museum was founded in 1971, with exhibits depicting the daily life of the tribes of West and Central Africa. A special place in the collection is occupied by items related to the Tuareg, Dogon, Bambara and Buszongo tribes.
The Museum of the Works of Władysław Wołkowski is the largest collection of art by this outstanding artist, known as the "Michelangelo of Wicker". In the historic Machnicki Manor House, innovative furniture, sketches, designs and elements of the decor of the poetic apartment are displayed.
The collection of minerals from the Olkusz Land and fossils of the Kraków-Czestochowa Jura is a rich collection containing several thousand exhibits. It shows the treasures of the Olkusz land. Precious ores, minerals and limestones dating back 150 million years. You can also see fossils of organisms that lived over five geological periods. The audio guide takes us through the rooms of all collections, describing the collections one by one.
