This is the best forecast app I have found. I work outside and need it daily. More accurate than AccuWeather, weatherbug, TheWeatherChannel. One thing I have to add is it seems to be "temporarily unavailable" more often then I would like. Maybe it's coincidence and I am using the app during app maintenance or something I don't know. Today (2/15/24) it has been unavailable for 3 hours. This happens at locations all over Illinois. Currently the hourly feature doesn't work.

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. NOAA has been having issues with their hourly forecast feed since Tuesday. In the meantime, you can view the hourly forecast on their website using your browser. The latest update adds an option to do this from the app.

Great app generally. Last update with loading bar "upgrade" sucks. Can't tell if it's actually loading or stuck. Old one was good as you could tell where it was in loading and playback, not everyone has hs data. Doesn't take a bunch of data to run. Has lots of forecast data. Cons: Accidentally adding pins to map, too sensitive, needs to use long press. Radar is usually 10 min behind & there's no layer for isobars on map. Why I still have Wunderground installed, add these so I can get rid of it.

I wanted a lightweight weather app that functioned consistently. It did the job for a long time and then the consistency went downhill. I noticed a recent update added 3 new separate Ad API permissions on top of the original one. I completely understand ad revenue to support development, but letting all my apps attempt to profile me with AdServices isn't for me. Since some may enjoy sharing their information, the Ad stuff has no impact on my rating of a 3/5. No harm no foul.

The app uses the standard Google AdMob SDK to display a banner ad at the bottom of the app, that's it. Any permissions requested around ads comes from that, the app doesn't use any of that info beyond that. You have the option to remove the ad via in-app purchase too. Let me know if you have any additional concerns. pandamoniumsoftware@gmail.com
