The Independent High Commission for Elections and Referendums (IHEC) of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq is an independent and impartial professional institution with its own moral personality and is subject to the oversight and accountability of the Parliament.

The Kurdistan Commission is the sole authority to conduct all elections and referendums

The Kurdistan Commission consists of the Council of Election Commissioners and the Election Administration. Its headquarters is in the capital of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
