Every time the ignition is turned off completely while parking and then turned on again for the next trip, a reconnection is required. It has some issues back then [February to April 2024], such as "App Isn't Responding" all the time, even when it's being held with the prompt "Wait" Rather than "Close" the app. This May 2024, I believe that issue has been fixed since my Yamaha Grand Filano can be connected easily after the bike is turned on without opening the app first (of course after tick on the Running in the Background App). However, the app is still in Japanese Version and I hope it will be fixed soon.

I really like Yamaha motorcycles. However, It's very frustrating that it's not possible to use a standard Bluetooth connection to control your phone calls and multimedia. Yamaha offers all the wonders of multimedia and navigation, but you need to install this awful data harvester app. My XMAX is great, but I can't enjoy the motorcycle at its full potential without delivering my personal data.
