About this app

Easy to use! Just hold your smartphone up to the rose you want to know about.
Artificial intelligence will determine the variety of the rose and tell you the name.
Currently, there are 248 varieties of roses that can be identified, including Queen Elizabeth, Maria Callas, Cheers, and Ryokuko, which are based on the roses in the Jindai Botanical Garden Rose Garden.
You can take a photo of the judgment result and save it to your smartphone, or you can share it on SNS.

I recommend this hotel
・I want to know the varieties of roses that are blooming in parks and walking trails.
・I want to take a photo of a rose and save it with the variety name.
・I want to add the variety name to a photo of a rose and share it with friends.

Two simple modes

The roses (or roses) shown on the smartphone screen are judged one after another and the variety name is displayed.

Focus on one rose and take a picture of the rose and its variety name together

About development
Baranona is an artificial intelligence app researched and developed by the Chiba Institute of Technology Artificial Intelligence and Software Technology Research Center (STAIR Lab.). Young children memorize the names of objects by learning the names of the things they see from the people around them. The latest artificial intelligence research has made it possible for computers to similarly learn the names of objects by showing them many examples. The key is large amounts of training data and deep learning. Rose Nona was developed using approximately 53,000 rose images collected with the cooperation of users of the smartphone app "Jindai Rose Collection" in cooperation with the Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association and Jindai Botanical Gardens.
